How to Install Corrugated CSST Tubes for Combustible Gases
Our formable corrugated CSST tubing system for combustible gas transport includes various joining systems, such as flaring systems, o-ring systems and the OMNI PRESS press-fit system. Tube installation must follow specific steps.
SHEATH CUTTING
Remove the sheathing to allow the nut to be inserted before flaring.
NUT INSERTION
Insert the nut before flaring.
GAUGE POSITIONING
Insert 2 corrugations into the gauge from its flat side.
GAUGE POSITIONING IN THE FLARING TOOL
Insert the gauge into the flaring tool.
FLARING
Hammer until a thin, burr-free flange is obtained.
NUT SEALING
Slide the nut up to the flared end and insert the gasket.
