How to Install Corrugated CSST Tubes for Fluid Transport
CSST water tubing joining systems include flaring fittings, o-ring fittings, and OMNI PRESS press fittings. The production of corrugated stainless-steel tubes requires specific steps to be followed with professionalism and expertise.
CUTTING OPERATION
Carefully position the smooth-wheel pipe cutter blade between two corrugations and perform the cut.
NUT INSERTION
Insert the nut and close the gauge on the tube, from the flat side, compressing two corrugations.
TUBE POSITIONING IN THE GAUGE
Insert 2 corrugations into the gauge from its flat side.
GAUGE POSITIONING IN THE FLARING TOOL
Insert the gauge into the flaring tool.
FLARING
Hammer until a thin, burr-free flange is obtained.
NUT SEALING
Slide the nut up to the flared end and insert the gasket.
